Based from the same popularly known Rhythm method of birth control,the Fertility Awareness Method or the Standard Days Method (SDM), a new concept on birth control was created.

Now, using your cellphone, you may know whether a certain time of day is a woman's fertile period or if it is her safe days to make sexual contact with her partner without fear of getting pregnant.

This Fertility Awareness or Standard Days Method helps a woman knows her fertile period by counting the days of her menstrual cycle. It is for women with menstrual cycles between 26 - 32 days. It identifies days 8 to 19 as her fertile period.

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE YOU SEND TEXT: This method is not appropriate for: 
1. Women who are presently breastfeeding. She has to wait until her menstruation returned and she should have had at least three completed menstrual cycles with the last cycle between 26-32 days.
2. Women who are taking pills. She should refrain from taking it for at least two months and at least two completed menstrual cycles between 26-32 days have passed before using this method.
3. Women who are taking injectables. Should wait until five months had passed since her last injection and at least two completed menstrual cycles between 26-32 days long have passed.
4. Women who are using IUD. Should remove the device and her menstrual cycles between 26-32 days long prior to or while using IUD.
5. Women who underwent abortion or miscarriage. She should wait until the bleeding due to abortion or miscarriage should stopped and her menstruation has returned. Her menstrual cycles should be between 26-32 days long before she got pregnant and should be expecting the same on her next cycle.
